    @howtoarchitect What if a structure is made of bricks? You wouldn't call it a "Bricks Structure", but you could refer to it as "The structure is made of bricks" or "A brick structure". Both having the same meaning but different sentence structure as well as singular vs. plural. Non the less they can be used in an inner changable manner. Thats another way i like to look at it :) BTW I'm applying to UNCC school of architecture in December! Your video's should help me out tremendously!! Thank you!

    @the3rdOne I love it. If I were to make the Empire State building or the Guggenheim museum out of a representative toy part (a LEGO block), it would be composed of many parts. As it stands they are both made with millions of parts. As the LEGO block is significantly larger at a very small scale than say a concrete masonry unit, it might be made of thousands, not millions of these LEGO units. It would be made of multiple LEGO blocks or LEGO's:) Architecture is LEGO's.

    BUDDY THIs made me interested in studying architecture aLong with other stuff,i have to retake design 1 cause i FAILED,even working all the day i cant get done what the teachers tell me to do,its so fucking annoying,i hope i can get this through,even worst my parents dont know i failed in that subject,its the worst of all,if you fail once you dont have the chance to recover like in the other subjects
    GOOOOD WHY?

    It's interesting, good powers of observation and an understanding of geometry are needed in architecture - if you have those abilities now, I would bet that you can draw well enough already. Most any skill can be improved w/ study & practice.

    Seattle Central Library, (the abstract glass
    building at the very beginning) is a really neat building, and was designed with each floor having a different color scheme to strike a different emotional theme on every floor.

    @Rationalific lack of sleep will be a regular thing...in ur 3rd year onwards u'll feel blessed to get a 6hr sleep...once or twice a week...

    So, this is what I've taken away from the video:
    1) You do the same five years of study that should give you a bachelor's degree, but you get a master's instead! Whoo-hoo!
    2) You don't need to memorize "facts" or take pesky "tests".
    3) You get to play video games, like Unreal Tournament and Half-Life 2!
    4) You can create a blue-glowing cube, which is just like a box, but it glows! Now that's architecture!
    It looks like I won't have to work hard! Where do I sign up?!

    I just did an all-nighter on a job because my time management skills include watching a bit of telly, then some YouTube, then open the drawing, read some e-mail...
    You get the idea. : } I think I'm going to bed now! Hahah
